Seaboard Air Line train stopped at railroad station – Wildwood, Florida

Daddy started to work as a fireman on the Seaboard Airline Railroad when he left the military. His job as a fireman was to hand-fire a steam locomotive like the one pictured above. He was promoted to engineer in the early 1940s and drove a diesel-electric locomotive like the one pictured below until his retirement in the mid-1950s.
